Tiwa Savage held her album listening party yesterday Sunday May 26th at Wheat Baker Hotel in Ikoyi. The debut album titled 'Once Upon A Time' will drop June 14th.

I think the album is phenomenal. It has a bit of every thing in it.

Meet Ada Beverly (Nigeria's Female representative on Big Brother Africa 8)

Beverly is a model and popular Lagos based video vixen. She was also briefly engaged to rapper 2shotz in 2011.model from Lagos. She describes herself as “smart, sexy, humble, loyal and crazy”. One of her favourite qualities is her sense of humour. In other people, she values “consistency, cleanliness, truth and humility” and dislikes unkept promises, lies and pretence.

Beverley says that viewers can expect “a total packaged African young diva to command the right qualities and characteristics of a blunt, sexy go-getter”. She doesn’t really have any role models, choosing rather to take unique attributes from different people. Asked who has influenced her life most, Beverley says “who I want to influence me all depends on the situation at hand”.

Her favourite musicians include John Legend, Kelly Rowland, Phenom and Rihanna.

Meet Melvin (Nigeria's Male representative on Big Brother Africa 8)

Melvin is a model and actor from Delta State with a BSc in Chemistry. Melvin enjoys listening to Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and R Kelly.

His favourite place in Nigeria is Lagos and he says the best things about the continent as a whole are the culture and people. Outside of Nigeria, he enjoys spending time in South Africa and the USA because “these are places where you can relax and relate to people conveniently”.

His friends and family inspired him to enter Big Brother. He has always been a fan of the show and has previously come out tops in two other reality shows (Gulder Ultimate Search VI, and up Mr Nigeria 2011). He is hoping to use all his experience and charm to go all the way on Big Brother. If he wins the grand prize, he’ll invest it, but he’s also hoping to make his country proud and use this experience as a platform to achieve other things in his career.

Afrocandy explains how her daughters feel about her porn movies

The movie producer and soft porn star told Punch:

I may be their mother because I brought them into the world. I may have the privilege to raise them up to adult age. But you know, I cannot tell them what to do or follow at a certain age. Besides, they are Americans who have their own minds. If they graduate from college and decide to follow my footsteps, it’s their own calling. If I can predict, they wouldn’t want to do what I do because they have better opportunities and better futures than mine. All I do now is to secure a better future for them so they don’t have to go through what I went through in my life time. Mind you, I tell my daughters everything I do. I even told them about this project, the nature of it, but I could not show them because they are not up to 18 yet. I just had to prepare them in case they run into it on the Internet, they won’t be shocked. So don’t worry about my daughters, they are the best children any mother could ever ask for and I thank God for the gift.

Oh and please she doesn't like being called a porn star o, call her an actress! :-) lol

MTN signs Iyanya, Davido, Praiz, Mike Anyaso as ambassadors

Telecoms giant MTN has signed Iyanya, Praiz, Chidinma (MTN Project Fame), and Mike Anyaso as the new celebrity faces of MTN and also renewed Davido's contract.

I gathered exclusively that the stars have finished negotiations with MTN for a one year endorsement deal which will see some of them earning as much as N15m a year. Naija artistes are really balling. Congrats to them.

Designer Yvonne Nwosu denies ever dating Ice Prince

When asked if she ever dated Ice Prince, city clothier Yvonne Nwosu told Saturday Punch that they were just friends. She said:

"Ice Prince is just my friend. It has always been that way. It does not matter if I put up pictures. I could put up pictures of anybody. I never said anything, next minute people were saying I’m dating him. I never said anything. I don’t have a boyfriend, he is just my friend.

When asked why she didn't debunk the rumours, she replied:

Me? You think I have time for Lagos? You think I want to go out there and talk? I don’t have time. I have better things to do, I’ll not go on Twitter and say it’s a lie. Say whatever you want to say, it is my life. I don’t do that.

Did the rumours make her feel bad?

Lebanese man arrested for kidnapping in Lagos

A 23 year old Lebanese man has been arrested by police in Lagos for kidnapping his 61 year old aunt, Alhaja Essa Dannawi. Mohammed Dannawi (pictured above) conspired with a former employee of his aunt, Obi Kwentua, (pictured above) to kidnap the woman on May 2nd at her home in Ebute Meta, Lagos.

Mohammed, who later confessed to the crime, told police during interrogation that he didn't kidnap his aunt because of money but to punish her because she offended him and his wife. He said:

“My aunty did something very bad to my wife and I and so I decided to punish her. I met with Obi (Kwentua) and told him that I wanted my aunty kidnapped. I gave him the spare key to her house and he in turn hired some boys to do the work. On the day of the operation, I left the house and five guys stormed the place and took my aunty away. The plan was not to demand money from her, it was just punishment.”

After the kidnapping, the kidnappers demanded N100m ransom from the woman's family but later agreed to collect N4m. It was during negotiations with the kidnappers that Mohammed confessed to being behind the kidnap and with his co-operation the police were able to arrest one of the suspects, Obi Kwentua when he came to collect the N4million ransom from relatives of the victim at Rita Lori Hotel in Surulere.

Essa Dannawi was later released while Mohammed and Kwentua were arrested.

LA Premiere of the “Fast & Furious 6″ (Photos)

The stars of Fast & Furious 6, which hits theatres on today, came together to celebrate the movie premiere at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City on Tuesday. Ludacris came through with his girlfriend Eudoxie, and Wiz Khalifa brought his wifey Amber Rose for for the ride.

Lil wayne signs Paris Hilton to his music label (YMCMB)

Lil Wayne confirmed yesterday that he has signed the 32-year-old heiress to his label, Young Money Entertainment. Paris will release new music this summer under the label.

Paris has been rolling with the Cash Money crew for a while now. She released a song with Wayne in December 2012 titled "Last Night," and also appeared in the Rich Gang's video for "Tapout," alongside Cash Money all-stars Lil Wayne, Birdman, Mack Maine and Nicki Minaj.
